Doncaster Head Coach Vacancy

Doncaster LTC are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Head Coach who will be responsible for all aspects of the coaching programme which covers all junior age groups and adults, including some with Learning Disabilities. The Head Coach will manage the existing team of current coaches and tennis leaders and will be expected to maintain and develop the strong links with local schools. The club has developed strong junior teams and this enthusiasm for playing tennis needs to continue. The club has many junior players who have been selected for County activities.

The club prides itself on the friendly atmosphere and welcomes families into the club. Administrative duties are attached to this role.

Head Coach will be paid an hourly rate, to be agreed with the Club, and also participate in the Coaching Programme Profit Share. A £2,000 retainer is also paid each year for administrative duties.

Doncaster LTC aims to provide top quality coaching and facilities to the people of Doncaster and the surrounding area. Its membership has been around 400 for the last three years. The facilities consist of 6 floodlight Astroturf courts and 6 newly laid macadam courts, 3 of which are floodlight. The club has plans for further redevelopment of the Astroturf courts in 2019. The coaching programme has numerous squads at all mini levels, at junior levels up to age 18 as well as some adult.

The Club has a thriving social atmosphere and emphasis has been put on looking after Family Membership.

Any candidate will need to have excellent communication skills with both children and adults. Candidates will need to be well organised and able to cater for all the differing tennis skill ranges of children and adults.

Candidates should be passionate about providing the best atmosphere for developing young players in an inclusive manner. Candidates must want to constantly improve Doncaster LTC.
